I am thinking about buying a macro lens for my rebel xt. You know you’d think that buying the $1000 camera would be your big expense. But it’s another $500 for lenses. For the record I am thinking of getting a Canon Normal EF-S 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens.
 I did have a thought that I should see if my dad can get Rollei lenses for me and try to get an adapter. But if I do that I will lose all the nifty internal computing stuff. I’ll have to ask him.
are you sure its a MACRO lens and not a TELEPHOTO lens? Macro means smaller than 50mm (usually around 30mm or less) for a regular 35mm SLR and telephoto is around 75mm or larger. What is the focal length of a normal lens on your camera?
