NJ Devils Stanley Cup Finals – Game 5

I took Christina with me to see game 5. I wasn’t sure who I should take, but since there was no chance for them to win the cup at this game, it made my decision easier. Christina called me when she left work saying she had wanted to stop at party city for horns and face paint, but was going to come straight to pick me up. So I pulled out my craft box and made some horns for us. They were just about done baking when she got here. We went to Olive Garden for dinner. Since we were both wearing jerseys the waiter was like “oh are you going to a game.” duh, he didn’t even know it was the playoffs. Of course because we were in a hurry he messed up our order and we had to wait longer for our food. But we got out in time.

It took us a little while to get our horns on – but we did. Now the swamp was freak-a-licious! During the 2nd period we set out to find the freaks. I’m very sad we couldn’t find the guy who was dressed as the Stanley Cup to take a picture. But we did get a few…here they are…………….

The Arena was jumping. I went to game one and thought that the crowd was pumped but this was about 3 levels higher. Our seats weren’t great – but not terrible either. We sat row 14 section 205. Now the crowd got killed about 42 seconds in when Sykora scored, but we got right back in when the Devils scored 2 minutes later. We were actually winning faceoffs which made a huge difference. Well so much for a low scoring series – 6-3!!! And now we go to anaheim to hopefully win the cup
